Dick Morton

Affiliate Staff

Dick Morton grew up in Houston Texas, sailing out of Houston Yacht Club where he met his childhood sweetheart (Ann) whom who he eventually married. He attended Baylor University 1968 – 72 and joined AF ROTC to avoid the Vietnam draft (they didn’t have Navy ROTC). He became a pilot because his grades were too poor to become a computer geek. After 3500 hours flying the C-141, Dick wanted to spend more time with his family and became a computer geek. That eventually led Dick to the Pentagon where he specialized in technology and computer systems for combat. When faced with a choice of career or family needs, he decided to retire as a Lieutenant Colonel and join Christian Embassy (1993). Dick wrote Bible studies and discipled leaders in the Pentagon until 2005 when he moved to Huntsville, TX to help his mom go through the aging process. Dick continues to write the weekly Bible studies for the Pentagon which he posts online. Dick is also an avid golfer, sailor, and hunter.
